Confidential Records is celebrating its 10th anniversary by becoming one of a select number of Canadian labels to release 30 releases. Confidential releases have featured a broad spectrum of musical genres by over 200 artists.
The first Confidential release in 1998 was "blah" by Crossfader, a group of 18 young adults from conflicted areas in the north and south of Ireland who attended Harris Institute as part of a "peace and reconciliation" program funded by the International Fund for Ireland.
In 2003, Confidential Records partnered with the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA) in a national competition for unsigned talent. The project known as "Opening Act", was a feature of CRIA's Keep Music Coming campaign.
In 2010, Confidential will be working to collect introduce an archive of it's first decade and will be overhauling the current website.
