Peter is a prolific songwriter who has decided to record a number of his "lounge folk" songs and get them down on record. He recruited a few of his long time friends to play. Marcus Walker on bass, Donn Dixson on Drums, Jeff Greenway on Piano and Hammond Organ.
Along the way he met Rachel Mercer of Via Salzburg String Ensemble who plays the cello. She decided to play on the recordings with Kyle Charron on violin and also his cousin. Chris Butcher brought along his trombone. Don Garbutt came along. Along the way he met Klaus Anselm on flugelhorn and trumpet, Josh Cohen on bass, and Rich Da Silva on drums who are now his live band and are itching to get into the studio to record a whole new batch of songs that came to life over the summer.
Peter has recognized his influences from Bill Withers to The Tijuana Brass Orchestra, (especially the album with the cover of the girl covered in whip cream).
He has started to introduce his songs with monologues about hitchhiking to California, hanging out with the Moonies and bike gangs. The music takes more bends than The Mad River, a place near were he grew up.
Peter is continuing his musical residency with special guests at a joint called Dave's Gourmet Pizza on St. Clair Avenue every Monday night from 7:30pm to 10:00pm.
