Born in Erin, Ontario, Roo has been involved in the arts for most of his life; from theatre, to cartooning, to music, and has successfully developed a loyal following. He first performed with 'Overgrown Spatulas' and then 'Brillohead' before starting a solo career in 2004.

He has been described somewhere between alt-folk and folk-pop with a pink-mohawk. With his odd covers of Billy Talent and Tori Amos peppered in between morbidly silly folk ballads and dittys.

Currently Roo has returned to the studio in hopes to release his brand-new single, 'Step on my head'. He will be performing at the Bread and Circus in Toronto on April 1st...and he may just wear his tail.
